A very symbolic pair of stud earrings hand-crafted in Ghana with sterling silver.
Fofoo has a very interesting meaning "se die fofoo pe, ne se gyinantwi abo bedie". 'What the yellow-flowered fofoo plant {Bidens pilosa} wants is that the gyinantwi seeds should turn black.' "The Akan liken the nature of this plant to a jealous person."
Widely used within the Ashanti culture - the Adinkra symbols have a decorative function but also represent objects that encapsulate evocative messages that convey traditional wisdom, aspects of life or the environment.
