Unrefined madhuca oil has a soft buttery feel with a pleasant natural scent to it. Our madhuca oil is cold pressed from the Indian tropical tree close to the Gujarat state “found largely in the central and north Indian plains and forests. It is commonly known as mahuwa, mahua, mahwa, mohulo, or Iluppai or vippa chettu.” [SOURCE – WIKIPEDIA]

A wonderful moisturising skin care product, madhuca oil is semi solid and can also be used for hair care - mixes well as a base oil with essential oils. Can be massaged into the hair on daily basis without having to rinse out to give it the glossy feel.
Parts of the madhuca plant are used for various ailments – the bark for itching and to help relieve wounds, the flowers sometimes used for internal issues.

The oil can be used to help relieve pains/aches and has similar properties to unrefined neem oil when used topically.
