The chemical composition of shea includes:

  • Triterpene which has anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Karitene - unsaponifiable
  • Glycerides - great for soap making .
  • Sterols including stigmasterol -to help relax aching muscles.
  • Stigmasterol is one of a group of plant sterols, which has been proven to exhibit strong anti-inflammatory properties when applied topically. Safe to use during pregnancy.
  • Retinol aka vitamin A to promote elasticity
  • Tocopherol aka vitamin E for anti-ageing and scar healing

Staple product I can’t live without

I whip it with essential oils and use it every night before bed, it’s so nourishing for my skin and especially in winter saves me from drying out and being itchy!
I make up jars for friends and also use it on my son with citronella oil if we go somewhere with mosquitoes.
