Lampshade Fabric
We work with a carefully selected range of fabrics suited to lampshade making. Each fabric is chosen for its weight, opacity and visual appeal, ensuring a beautiful finish that diffuses light evenly. Y ou will have the opportunity to choose your fabric on the day from our curated selection.
Ghanaian & African-Inspired Textiles
Our collection includes vibrant African-inspired fabrics sourced from artisan communities and producers. These textiles bring rich colour, pattern and cultural heritage to your finished lampshade, making it a truly unique piece.
Lampshade Frames
You will work with a drum-style frame, which gives the lampshade its clean, cylindrical shape. Frames are pre-prepared and ready to work with, so no prior experience is needed.
Adhesives and Trimmings
All adhesives, binding tape and decorative trimmings are included in the workshop fee. These finishing touches give your lampshade a polished, professional look.
Quality and Sourcing
All materials used in the workshop are sourced from trusted suppliers. Sheabutter Cottage works directly with small-scale producers and artisan communities where possible to support traditional craft and fair trade practices.
Care Instructions
Your finished lampshade is designed for everyday use. To keep it looking its best, dust gently with a soft dry cloth and avoid exposure to moisture. Do not use harsh cleaning products on the fabric surface.
